The Georgetown Film Feswtival, 2001 - It was a wonderful idea and a great effort by so many people, all tucked into a little alley in Georgetown, in a space that had laid empty for 15 years until we stumbled into it. The Festival has a remarkable track record and so many people have passed across our screens who are now in Hollywood or in Berlin, Aspen or London, or Cairo or Bangkok still making the wonderful films and keeping in touch.

We are still looking for a home similar to the look and feel of the space you see above. Developers and land speculators have got hold of our little theatre, and are turning the property into a retail space, so we are looking elsewhere, across the city and all over the area to find the right urban environment to open back up in 2008. We have many, many filmmakers and writers who have been so loyal and supportive and have helped in many, many ways to locate the right space for us... that we may find a home very soon.

We are taking submissions for 2008, but we may find that we'll be screening in some pretty odd spaces... which will only add to the urban focus in a good way!
